The environment is an important point that should be noticed by parents, because it has wide influence in term of children’s language usage. Mostly children who grow in a bad environment will have bad impact on their languages. But in some cases, most parents do not really care what will happen next with their children’s language development. Therefore, this essay will consider arguments of the environment brings the influences to the children’slanguage.
First of all, the environment immediately relates to the people who live inside it whether it’s good or bad. As Karl Marx’s Theory says that” Basically human has two characteristics; bad and good, nevertheless it depends on the environment where they live in.”The development of children’s languages are fazed by the first environment, such as in nuclear family, like father mother, and siblings.
In fact, a child lives with his/her parents where his/hersurrounding frequently uses abusive languages, such as Janco’, Asu, Anjrit in Javanese language and Bote, Lako, Seta, in Bima language. The children will immediately follow those languages because they do not know whether it is god or bad for the development of their language and do not know how to filter it because they are still under age, 2 up to 5 years old. During that age, they are not capable of filtering the words or the languages that they hear.
Furthermore, most children who born in a certain countryside where people live inside it almost even have graduated from elementary school, usually they are more abusive in using language rather than people live in a city. In other hand, people who are educated know how to educate their children to obtain a better language in communicating each other. Because they will be embarrassed if their children use abusive language.
To sum up, the environment is the crucial thing in influencing of children’s languages. Obtaining better surrounding for the children is the way to avoid the usage of abusive languages. Hopefully, for further researchers, they will be able to find out another things which influence the development of the children’s languages.
